+ HOW IS MY MONEY MAKING A DIFFERENCE?

Every dollar given to Canyon Ridge is used by ministries to create a movement of disciples making disciples. Outside of the standard operating costs, here is a breakdown of what percentage each ministry at Canyon Ridge spends:

• 42% - Local and Global Missions, making a difference in communities in Las Vegas and beyond.
• 21% - Family Ministries, helping kids & students discover the story God is writing in their lives.
• 13% - Worship & Weekends, creating meaningful worship experiences where people can encounter Jesus.
• 10% - Engagement Ministry, helping people take their best next step toward Jesus.
• 10% - Stories & Marketing, connecting new people to Canyon Ridge and sharing the stories of how God is transforming lives.
• 4% - Groups & Coaching, cultivating a disciple-making movement inside and outside of Canyon Ridge.
  

+ HOW DOES CANYON RIDGE SAFEGUARD YOUR GIVING?

Every ministry and resource at Canyon Ridge is committed to sparking a movement of disciple-makers with too many generations to count. To ensure this is happening, several safeguards and checks are in place:

1. A third party audit is conducted annually to ensure that financial statements are accurate, accounting transactions are conducted properly, and secure controls are in place to ensure against fraud. The audit results are reviewed by the Operations Team and available upon request.
2. A volunteer team of business and financial professionals, known as our Operations Team, support our staff in overseeing our budget and processes to ensure high accountability, financial integrity, and mission fidelity.
3. A staff of skilled financial professionals work year-round in accordance with robust policies and procedures to support staff and volunteers in acquiring and utilizing resources with multiple eyes on every expenditure.

+ I SOMETIMES HEAR THE WORD "TITHE." WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

In the Old Testament of the Bible, the “tithe” was an established standard of giving among God’s people. It literally means “tenth.” This is often used as a practice for generosity

It was God’s expectation and the practice of God’s people to give Him the first and best 10% of their income to God to acknowledge His provision, their trust in Him, and to eventually to provide for gathering place of worship, the Temple, and those who served there. In the New Testament, Jesus invites us to give generously, give together, and give cheerfully. While not commanded in the New Testament, giving our first and best continues to be essential; and 10% is a target to move toward and beyond as we grow in giving toward generosity.
