Uncommon Change | April 24, 2022 | Lord And Christ

Change to anything “normal” can be unsettling, but God always has more and better in mind for you! God wants you to live a flourishing life, one that is better than normal. This uncommon kind of life in Jesus’ direction is marked by an uncommon kind of change in you and in the people around you. God intends for you to experience a life lived with the Spirit in you and his people around you.

KEY VERSES

• John 10:10-15 NLT- The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.

• Acts 2:36-37 NLT - “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

• Romans 6:16 NLT - Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.
