Uncommon Change | May 01, 2022 | Repentance
Nobody likes to change their minds, especially when other people are trying to change your mind for you! But, sometimes, changing your mind can bring life into a kind of focus that maybe it lacked before. Everybody has room to grow. To become wiser, more helpful, to flourish where we once faltered. This is the sort of change Jesus will lead you to. Why refuse to change your mind and settle when God wants to offer you his best? When we invite God to change our minds and embrace his revealing and respond to his perspective, we transformation that leads to uncommon change.
KEY VERSES
John 10:10-15 NLT- The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.
Acts 2:36-37 NLT - “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”
Romans 6:16 NLT - Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.
